I have an old 40 oz candle jar with approximately 1/2" wax left in the bottom. I have checked on Circle E’s website and posted a question but they may not get back to me before next week. Does anyone have an easy method of removing this old wax?
Yes, you can put some aluminum foil on a cookie sheet and then place the candle upside down on the aluminum. Put it in the oven at about 250 degrees for ten minutes. Take the candle out (use and oven mitten) and reach in with a wooden spoon to remove the wax. It should be soft enough but put it back in the over for a few more minutes if it isn’t. I hope that helps.

The best that I could find about what makes up the gel is that it is made up of polymer resin and mineral oil. Even the "Michael’s Book of Arts & Crafts" just says to buy a tub of candle gel without telling you the recipe for it at all. Here’s the link where I found what candle gel is made from.

If u put a Pillar candle in a plastic vase is it safe? Will it melt or catch fire?
Sunday, May 30th, 2010The vase is a little taller than the candle and the candle is not touching the sides of the vase.
Ok, what can i put the candle in if i don’t have a glass vase?
That is not safe, but you can put sand at the bottom of the vase and some water just in case.
You don’t want it to accidentally tip over.

how can i get candle wax out of glass votive holders?
Sunday, May 30th, 2010I put glass pebbles and a votive candle in these little votive holders and now theres a pebble candle wax mix in there. is there a way i can get all that gunk out to re use the votive holders?
stick them in the freezer for a little bit.. then use a pen to scrape it out. it should come out in big chunks.. next time before using the votive holders, spray a little cooking spray in the bottom of the glass.
how to make pure soy candles that glow in the dark?
Sunday, May 30th, 2010I make pure soy candles. I wanted to know if I could make them Glow In The Dark.
It’s a long shot, but you could try crushing zinc tablets and mixing them into the wax. I know zinc is used in GID tattoos for that purpose.

Sunday, May 30th, 2010I love candles and after they have burned down I throw the galss away. Can the glasses be used for something else useful?
You can actually just go to a craft store and buy candle scent and wax and make another candle in the glass.
