I’m trying to create a table centerpiece with floating votive or tealight candles. So, do all votive or tea light candles float? Or do I have to find special floating candles?

yeah i tried that before with normal candles haha you need the special ones. look at bed bath and beyond? or maybe yankee candle might be better

I have the wide mouth ones which I know will be fine, but then I have the large jars with the smaller mouth. Will they crack if I put a votive in it?

well here is the question:I have a votive inside inside of a purple glass. The light from the candle is white but when the light comes through the glass it appears purple,why?
White light is made up of all the colors in the rainbow.
Colored glass looks the way it does because it absorbs some of those colors and lets through the others.
Purple is made up of red and blue which means your purple glass lets red and blue light through and blocks green.
Something that is green will look black through purple glass since the green is blocked however something that is blue will still look blue (but darker probably) since the glass lets the blue light through.

I have frosted votive glasses from Glade, having used their new
candles. But I can’t get off the wax to use them again -
Anyone out there have some tips?
These votives are really pretty & I’d like to use them again. So
put your thinking caps on!
Freezer works for me, too.
Be careful, I have had two break in my hand trying to pry out wax with a knife. Use a butter knife and a towel to hold the votive holder while digging.
Also, spray the holders lightly with Pam (or similar lubricant) before putting candles in. The wax should just slide out.

I put glass pebbles and a votive candle in these little votive holders and now theres a pebble candle wax mix in there. is there a way i can get all that gunk out to re use the votive holders?
stick them in the freezer for a little bit.. then use a pen to scrape it out. it should come out in big chunks.. next time before using the votive holders, spray a little cooking spray in the bottom of the glass.
