I love jar candles but I’m not sure what to do with the jars when the candles are done?

I usually save the nicest jars for storage, but I still end up with more jars than I need. Can these be put into glass recycling?
Also any other ideas on what to do with the jars would be appreciated

Candle making is fun, relatively inexpensive and you can make impressive gifts for your friends and family! Candle making supplies are easily available at craft stores and various online stores.

I made candles for my whole family for Christmas and they all were quite impressed! Watch out though, it is addictive fun! (messy though)

Stop buying jar candles, just buy replacement candles to put in the jars, save money and space!

Use them as coin jars, jars for screws, swear jars, and all types of odds and ends holders. Don’t put food in them as some candles contain lead!

Yes you can recycle the glass, but you also can use the jars to make your own candles. There are many recipes for making scented and unscented candles online. Then maybe you can give them as gifts or sell them. Good Luck!

There’s a web site called thinkgeek.com, they stock a jar candle lookalike that is actually an LED inside the jar. The unit is charged in the sulight, and will run for up to 6 hours. There are two colours available; moon jars(blue) and sun jars(yellow). Or if you prefer; the also stock a realistic-looking LED flickering candle that might fit inside your existing jars.

Try here:http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/lights/94ce/, for the LED candles

or these:http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/lights/994a/, for the sun and moon jars. Lots of neat lights; I suggest browsing around!
