    Best results to making colored candles is to use a 100% soy wax (no additives) a liquid dye, heat wax until the wax has melted (between 155-160 degrees), add fragrance oil when wax has cooled between 110 and 108 degrees, then pour into the container. Best results is not to let the wax get too hot.

    For anyone wanting to make a good wonderful smelling soy candle first thing is 135 degrees is way to hot to pour for soy especially Golden Brands wax, and unfortunately these videos I have seen on you tube are not telling everything and it is so frustrating for the beginner candle maker. Every Fragrance & I mean Every one of them have a different temperature to add at. This is a good video but it is not telling the hole scoop!!

    Your wicks may not be large enough 4 the container u r using (thats why u have a well)..always save a lil bit of wax after pouring, sometimes 2nd pours are necessary. Just pour along the top & you should have a nice surface. Or a hairdryer on a low setting can flatten it out 4 aesthetics. Hope this helps
