Need help decorating Votive candles?

ok, so i am trying to think if some ideas to decorate Votive candles for my wedding. These candles will go into "goodie" bags for our guests. I dont want them to look "tacky", but i do want to do something simple, and cheap (but i dont want them to look cheap). Does anyone have any ideas?
ok, so heres the thing, the votive candles that i have are NOT "cheap made" nor are they "cheap looking", so with that being said, i also watch for sales, but want to do something different. I dont want to do something EVERYONE has done. I didnt want to use pillar candles etc. (sorry for the ones who have left, or are going to leave nice comments) but there are some people who are just rude.

you could get some glue and put it around the outside, then roll it in some small beads of your wedding colors and maybe some glitter to give them some sparkle. Could get a small assembly line going and it might go fairly quickly too!

Having been to way too many weddings, I can tell you I haven’t saved a single favor from any of them. Straight to the trash.

Spend your money on other more important things.

    Just my opinion.

Votive candles are cheap, even decorating them will not take that away. The only thing not cheap is the many types of holders that you can use. My suggestion is the dinner candles if you want to give candles. I was in Hobby Lobby Store the other day…got a really really great price on some (I watch for sales). Ended up buying 20 white ones. Most everyone uses the dinner candle type. And those can be decorated a number of ways.

I have seen some that had been striped with ribbon (the colors of your wedding?) near the base of the candle. I saw some that had been sprayed with glue and then rolled in glitter (red glitter as this was just before christmas), also near the base of the candle. I saw some that had been decopauged with silk flowers. All interesting ideas.
